Asics is going to start selling hiking shoes in Europe, perhaps starting in 2012, according to a report by the Nikkei newswire service. The new shoes would stem from a cooperation with Haglöfs, the Swedish company that Asics bought last year. The new hiking footwear will be made at Asics partner factories in Asia.
