Asics is launching a limited edition range of footwear and apparel to mark the centenary of the birth of its founder, Kihachiro Onitsuka. He established the company in 1949, with the purpose of supporting sports participation and contributing to the health of Japanese youth. The range of Asics, Asics Tiger and Onitsuka Tiger products is meant to reflect the founder's innovative and positive attitude, with shoes in the colors of sunflowers, using Asics Gel technology. As part of Onitsuka's legacy, Asics is working together with Right to Play, an organization that supports sports participation among children. Asics will donate $10 for the sale of each pair of shoes or piece of apparel in the KO100 collection. The money will be used to help children in Lebanon play sports for ten weeks.
