Asics is the new sponsor of the French Athletics Federation (FFA), replacing Adidas as its official apparel supplier. The company will develop and provide competition and training wear for the French athletics team until the end of 2016. The four-year deal will thus cover the next two editions of the World Athletics Championships, as well as the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Asics will also supply the kit for France's junior teams, for development programs and race walking teams, while supporting other FFA projects and events. Asics already has sponsorship deals with the national athletics federations of Italy, the Netherlands, Australia and Japan. It also has endorsement deals with Christophe Lemaitre, the European men's 100-meter champion, and Antoinette Nana Djimou, European heptathlon champion, both from France.
