Assosport, the Italian sporting goods industry association, has announced the establishment of a dedicated business unit for outdoor sports. Andrea Parisotto, chief financial officer and major shareholder of Calzaturificio Scarpa, has been elected president of Assosport's Outdoor Group. He will nominate a vice president, but the assembly has indicated Luca Pedrotti, president of Aicad (Lizard) and of the Italian Outdoor Group (IOG), as a possible option (more in The Outdoor Industry Compass).
