Australian has developed a new tennis collection using merino wool. Paolo Lorenzi, its sponsored player, was the first athlete to wear the new apparel at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia tournament, which began in Rome on May 2. Australian is an official sponsor of the tournament. The Milan-based sportswear brand has supplied merino-wool polo shirts and sweaters for officials and staff at the event. Merino wool is said to be suitable for active sportswear thanks to its natural breathability, elasticity and odor resistance.
