Australia's Super Retail Group will unify its two sporting goods retail chains in the country, Amart and Rebel Sport, by rebranding all its Amart stores as Rebel by Oct. 31. The move is expected to result in synergies of 15 million Australian dollars (€10.1m-$12.0m) over the next two years. Together, the two chains raised their sales by 4 percent to A$949.2 million (€637.9m-$756.6m) in the financial year ended July 1, and their Ebitda grew by 15 percent to A$115.1 million (€77.4m-$91.7m). E-commerce surged by 73 percent and the number of stores rose by five to 166. Across the group, sales rose by 2 percent to A$2.46 billion (€1.65bn-$1.96bn) and net income doubled to A$103.4 million (€69.5m-$82.4m).
