Base-Detallsport, the second-largest Spanish buying group, is inviting all the members of a regional splinter group, Giro 180, to rejoin the cooperative, which is said to be holding discussions with another buying group, Twinner. At the same time, Base is reportedly discussing a possible cooperation in purchasing with Intersport España. Meanwhile, practically all the members of Giro 180 have approved the previously reported proposal to turn more of its retail members into full-fledged shareholders, with full decision-making power over its future strategies.
