Bauer Hockey has opened an Innovation Center in Blainville, Quebec. The facility, which has a surface of more than 9,200 square meters, recently hosted the annual BauerWorld event, which welcomed around 350 of the company's top global retail partners. The new site features more than 150 testing and R&D machines, which enable the designers and developers to evaluate and validate the new products. The facility also features a real ice surface with regulation hockey boards and glass, an impact simulator, a linear accelerator, a puck cannon and other tools the company can use to optimize performance and protection levels of helmets, sticks, shoulder pads, skates and other products. The Advanced Development team has a dedicated prototyping space with 3-D printers. The Bauer Innovation Center was located in St. Jerome, Quebec, for more than 44 years. The new facility is 25 percent larger than the company's former space in St. Jerome.
