BBC Worldwide has enlisted Established Brands to develop a line of luggage, travel accessories and apparel under the Lonely Planet brand. This is the first time that the 37-year-old travel brand has entered a major global licensing program to grow its reach over several product categories. It will first launch in the U.K., the U.K. and Australia starting in 2012. Established Brands has also done work for companies including Nike, Teva, UGG and Swiss Army. Lonely Planet has more than 20 percent market share in the tourist guidebook industry.
