Billabong has renewed its partnership with SurfAid, a charity that aims to improve the health, wellbeing and self-reliance of people living in isolated regions near the world's most iconic surf spots, with a focus on reducing infant mortality. As part of the deal, Billabong will help to launch Surf Aid September, including the sponsorship of two Surfaid Cup contests and fundraisers in Malibu and Sydney. Money raised through these activities will be used to support projects such as SurfAid's program in Nias, Indonesia. It has improved the quality of health services for mothers and children, while reducing mortality rates. Billabong athletes Courtney Conlogue and Dave Rastovich will also travel to Nias to learn about the projects and share with social media users.
