Asia’s first edition of the World Biohack Summit (WBHS) is scheduled for May 30-31 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai. By the organizers’ definition, biohacking is a “health optimization model” consisting of things like genomics, personalization, lifestyle modifications, AI, wearables, “quantified self tools,” and the teachings of “ancient wellness schools” (e.g. yoga, ayurveda, herbals, traditional Chinese medicine). Rather than computer chips and other bodily implants, the exposition will be giving “equal or more importance” to things like diet and nutrition, supplements and nootropics, fasting, exercise, sleep, meditation, breathing, relaxation, detoxing, neurofeedback systems, cryotherapy, red-light therapy and float therapy.
Some 20 experts will be on hand to speak, and more than 50 exhibitors in the halls. The tickets will consist of NFTs, and the expo will be hosted simultaneously and virtually in the metaverse operated by the show’s backer, Limoverse Technologies. Limoverse is headquartered in Dubai, and its co-founder and chairman, Sajeev Nair, will be serving as the show’s chief curator.
