Björn Borg, the company that has the rights for underwear, sportswear, footwear and bags named after the former Swedish tennis champion, has sealed an agreement with a retail partner for its deployment on the Chinese market. The company will hold a 75 percent stake in a joint venture with a local firm. One of the minority shareholders will be Penny York, who has built up the presence of Schiesser's underwear on the Chinese market. The joint venture will set up Björn Borg stores and shop-in-shops in department stores. It will also launch an e-commerce operation.
