Bjørn Gulden from Puma, Andrea Tomat from Lotto, Alistair Cameron from Asics Europe and Johan Eliasch from Head were among the top executives who gathered for a meeting at Ispo Munich to discuss wide-ranging issues in the European sports industry, from physical activity to trading conditions and selective distribution. The meeting was held at the initiative of the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (Fesi), bringing together representatives from the industry and European officials – namely Jens Nymand Christensen, deputy director general of the Directorate-General for Education and Culture (which covers sport). Further details on these talks and the progress of Fesi's efforts to obtain backing from EU institutions will be detailed in our next issue.
