Blue Tomato is opening a store in the Swiss city of Lausanne, its first one outside the German-speaking world. The new 350-square-meter store is scheduled for inauguration on Aug. 9. Based in Austria and owned by Zumiez, Blue Tomato specializes in the sale online and offline of products for snowboarding, freeskiing, skating and surfing. It is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Today Blue Tomato operates 37 stores throughout Austria, Germany and Switzerland, alongside its online shop.
