Boardsport Source reports that Snowide, the parent company for Apo, a snowboarding and skiing equipment and apparel brand, is in the process of liquidation. Apo's founder, Régis Rolland, apparently left the company a few months ago. Owned by Russian investors, Snowide further comprises the White Doctor brand and several distribution agreements. Boardsport Source says that the weakness of the Russian economy reduced funds from the majority shareholder, while Apo suffered from several tough winter seasons. The Apo brand is strongly established in the snowboarding market. The company's offices in Annecy and Geneva could not be reached in the last days.
