Rossignol revives retro look with 7S-inspired line

French winter sports brand Rossignol introduced the “Super Project,” a retro-inspired product series paying tribute to the iconic yellow 7S ski from 1992. The limited-edition collection features the Rossignol Super Blackops skis, Otava goggles and Look Pivot bindings, all reimagined with the signature 7S aesthetic.

The Super Blackops skis combine a 98mm waist, twin rocker profile and full sidewall construction with a wood core and titanal layers to provide dynamic freeride performance. Rossignol describes them as “playful yet precise,” designed to handle varied terrain with confidence. 

The collection also includes the Hi-Speed Elite 120 LV ski boots, built with a generative design shell and customizable fit options. These low-volume boots incorporate Thinsulate insulation, a seamless toe box, and adjustable flex for comfort and high-speed control.

Rossignol’s homage to the 7S legacy extends beyond skis and boots to accessories and even a mountain bike. The Super Edition Pivot 15 GripWalk binding rounds out the offering, featuring a turntable heel and 15 DIN rating for aggressive skiing and responsive power transfer. 

The launch reflects Rossignol’s continued strategy to blend heritage with modern performance, targeting freeride enthusiasts and nostalgic fans alike.
