Vans has set up a skateable installation and a stage at the foot of the Sacré-Coeur Basilica in Montmartre in collaboration with Los Angeles-based creative agency Playlab Inc. and California Skateparks. The brand is hosting a live skate demonstration and performances on June 21, which marks the annual Fête de la Musique as well as Go Skateboarding Day.
Skateboarding will be featured at Paris 2024 for the second time in Olympic history. Competitions will take place at Place de la Concorde, in the heart of the French capital city. The first competitions are scheduled for July 27. Skateboarding made its Olympic debut at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in 2021.
