Brooks Sports and Adidas have amicably settled a dispute over the latter's use of the Beast trade name in the Beast Commander, a basketball shoe that the Three Stripes launched last year. The Brooks Beast came out in the running market in 1992. Under the settlement, Adidas is allowed to continue selling basketball shoes under the Beast Commander and Super Beast names until the end of the coming summer season.
