Brooks, which enjoys a high market share in the Germany and is developing its presence in other European countries, has released its first corporate responsibility report. The American brand of running shoes began auditing its contract factories about ten years ago, and the report shows some progress between 2009 and 2010 in the areas of workers' wages and benefits, health, safety and environmental issues. It measures for the first time the company's greenhouse gas emissions. The report boasts about the superiority of two of Brooks' running shoes, the Adrenaline GTS 10 and the Podium SS - in terms of waste and energy conservation. These are two areas where the company intends to focus in the future. The report is available under www.brooksrunning.com/runningresponsibility.
