Brunswick Bowling held a training seminar in Yancheng, China, on July 21-25, on the occasion of the Chinese Bowling Foundation (CBF) Education Conference. The event offered an opportunity for bowler development, from beginner to advanced players and coaches, and included a seminar on the best practices in center operations and management. Training was offered in pro shop management, lane and general maintenance, ball drilling and demonstrations of Brunswick's Envoy lane machine. The three days of training at the conference were followed by a bowling clinic and exhibition tournament in Shanghai, which attracted more than 50 participants. China is regarded as critical by World Bowling – the sport's governing body – to gain Olympic recognition as early as the 2020 Olympics. The CBF was founded earlier this year by Brunswick, the Chinese Bowling Association, and World Bowling.
