Burton Snowboards has promoted Mike Rees to the role of chief executive. Rees joined the Vermont-based company in 2009 and was most recently the company's chief operating officer. With Rees now running day-to-day operations, Jake Burton will once again become the company's chairman. As chief executive, Rees will head up product, marketing and sales, as well as operations and finance. Donna Carpenter will continue as Burton's president with responsibility for human resources, sustainability, legal and women's business initiatives.
