Burton Snowboards has reinforced its presence in Switzerland with the opening two new stores and the appointment of a new country manager: Daniela Meyer, previously key account manager at Adidas Sport, who has taken over the position of Dan Fitzgerald, effective Oct. 1. The company already has a Burton Hub in Zurich and a Burton partner store in Laax. A Burton test ride center will be integrated into the new store in Lausanne in the future. Customers can order the rental equipment from home and then pick it up directly at the store. In addition to the shop in Lausanne, Burton has opened a new physical store in Verbier, in the southwestern part of the country. The company has the ultimate goal of covering the whole Swiss market with its brand. Switzerland is a key territory for Burton. The brand's two founders, Jake Burton and his wife, Donna Carpenter, currently live in Switzerland.
