By the beginning of August, Intersport Deutschland is set to have completed the integration of all the remaining 15 Sportpoint stores that it bought at the end of last year. Three have been closed. Some of the remaining stores will be operated by its Intersport Voswinkel chain. Sportpoint's founder, Wolfgang Rossow, will keep four of them. The others will be operated by other retail members of the German cooperative. Sportpoint has been particularly strong in the eastern part of Germany. All its stores had been converted to the Intersport banner before the takeover.
