Calderon Sport, which was for many years the leading sporting goods retailer in the region of Madrid, is moving toward the liquidation of its remaining stores and its online shop, according to CMD Sport. The company, which had more than 30 stores ten years ago, was founded by the Calderon family in 1982. It reportedly shut down 17 stores in the past year, filing for bankruptcy protection from creditors last October.
