Canterbury, the rugby apparel brand, and Invista, the fiber manufacturer, have teamed up to make rugby shirts intended to help players avoid tackles at the Rugby World Cup that started a few days ago in New Zealand. Featuring special designs and fits, the shirts are made with Invista's Lycra Sport fabric, which will supposedly make it harder for opponents to pull down the shirt's wearer. The Canterbury shirts are being worn by five out of the 20 teams at the event, including South Africa, which won the World Cup in 2007.
