Cathleen Benko, vice chairman and managing principal of Deloitte Consulting, has joined Nike's board of directors to help the group in its new digital transformation strategy. The 59-year-old expert has spent more than 30 years with the consultancy. She was appointed by Deloitte in 1998 as its first global e-business leader, and she served as chief digital, brand and communication officer from 2010 to 2014. She has since been a senior partner at Deloitte, working with digital giants and as lead adviser for various digital-native companies. Benko also served between 2006 and 2010 as Deloitte's first chief talent officer, where she developed a more agile and inclusive career development model as part of an initiative for the retention and advancement of women.
