Italian sporting goods retailer Cisalfa has appointed Federico Filippa as group corporate and internal communication director. In his new role, Filippa will oversee internal, external and executive communications, media relations, corporate reputation management and crisis and issues management for the group, as per his Linkedin account.

Filippa spent the past six years at Amazon, most recently as senior corporate communications manager EMEA. He previously served as Amazon’s corporate communications manager for Italy. Prior to that, he worked at Schibsted Italy, NH Hotel Group, Alcantara, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, and Siemens. He started his career as a journalist, including an experience as a press officer at Italy’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.

Cisalfa has also announced an ambitious plan to hire 100 people for its stores across Italy.
