Clarus Corporation, the parent company of Black Diamond, has raised $3,337,896 through a Dutch auction to retire about 1.4 percent of its outstanding shares. The company had offered to pay between $7.20 and $8.00 per share for up to $7.5 million worth of its equity, but then accepted only the shares tendered at the maximum price of $8.00 per share. A Dutch auction is a public offering in which the price is set after taking in all bids to determine the highest price at which the total offering can be sold.
