Confirming a report in Drapers magazine, Fran Allen, who has been vice president of New Balance for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region since February 2015, doesn't exclude the possibility that the company will take over the distribution in some other European countries, as it recently did in Italy. He also tells us that New Balance plans to open about 250 more owned or franchised single-brand shops in the region over the next five years. It has about 100 of them now in EMEA.
