Moncler has signed a €400 million “green” credit agreement with Italy’s big Intesa Sanpaolo bank. The revolving credit line is meant to support its initiatives in the areas of environmental protection and corporate and social responsibility. It includes a rewarding mechanism linked to the actual achievement of certain environmental targets. The revolver has an initial duration of two years, with an option for two more years. The Prada Group had already negotiated a sustainability-linked loan of €50 million with Crédit Agricole last November, where the interest rate will be reduced based on such metrics as the number of stores with LEED Gold or Platinum wertification and the number of hours of training for its employees. Earlier this year, VF Corp. issued a €500 million “green bond” aimed at supporting its CSR and sustainability programs.
