An Italian investment company, GDTRE, is taking a stake in the equity of Houdini Sportswear, a Swedish outdoor brand that has a strong commitment to sustainability. GDTRE will join the brand’s co-founders, Hanna Lindblad and Eva Karlsson, who together own 77 percent of the company, as well as Stefan Ytterborn, founder of POC and founder and CEO of Cake, as well as Sarah McPhee, one of Sweden’s most influential executives and chairman of Houdini. Giovanni Domenichini, shareholder and CEO of GDTRE in Bologna, will join Houdini’s board of directors. In addition, the company has annoounced that Angelica Molin will join the company as head of e-commerce. She brings extensive international experience from premium outdoor and lifestyle brands, including Deckers Brands and Fjällräven. Niclas Bornling, head of brand and DTC, will continue in his role and work with Andrea Tomasini, global wholesale coordinator, who was previously working at Patagonia.
