Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company ceased trading on July 22, citing supply and financial constraints caused by the Covid-19 pandemic as reasons for the decision. ExWorksCapital had been the majority shareholder for the Texas-based company since its relaunch in 2017 after it originally ceased trading in 2015. ExWorks Financial filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in March 2022. The Ben Hogan brand name is currently owned by Perry Ellis International, which acquired it from Callaway in 2012. Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company was founded in 1953 by Ben Hogan, an American golf legend who is widely considered to be one of the greatest players in the history of the game.
