BT Sport will change its name following the merger with Warner Bros Discovery last year. The two companies formed a 50:50 pay-TV sports joint venture in September 2022. TNT Sports will take over BT Sport’s live offerings in July. Starting in 2023/24, the Premier League matches will be broadcasted on a new channel in Britain for the first time in ten years.

Eurosport, which Warner Bros Discovery owns, is also reportedly set to become part of the TNT Sports brand at some point in the future, although this will only apply to the U.K. and Ireland. According to the Daily Mail, Eurosport will continue to operate as a stand-alone channel in these markets until the Paris 2024 Olympics, after which it will also rebrand as TNT Sports.

Meanwhile, there are no plans for the Eurosport brand to disappear from the other markets where it is currently available. BT Sport and Eurosport U.K. bring together an extensive line-up of live sports coverage that includes the Premier League, the Olympic Games, UEFA’s Champions League and Europa League, the cycling Grand Tours, Premiership Rugby, MotoGP, UFC, Boxing, WWE, the tennis Grand Slams and the winter sports season. TNT Sports already broadcasts live in other international markets, including the U.S. and South America.
