The Grenoble Commercial Court has decided to study the continuation plan that Hermione People & Brands (HPB), Go Sport’s owner, the owner of Go Sport, intends to implement, as well as the takeover bids available on April 18. Intersport and Frasers (formerly Sports Direct) are among the potential buyers.

French sporting goods retailer Go Sport went into receivership in January. As reported earlier, HPB announced in a letter dated March 8 the dismissal of Go Sport CEO Patrick Puy, who had been appointed to the role just two months earlier. Go Sport operates a network of 215 shops, including 82 directly operated units, 87 franchises and 46 master franchises. The retailer employs nearly 2,000 people.
