Luxury sneakers specialist Golden Goose announced that it acquired Italian Fashion Team, a high-end sneakers producer and Golden Goose’s main supplier, for an undisclosed amount. The two companies have worked together for seven years. Based in Casarano, near the Apulian city of Lecce, Italian Fashion Team is headed by founder and CEO Michele Zonno, who will continue to lead it, and has a workforce of over 250 people. The company, founded in 2007, specializes in the design, production and commercialization of luxury sneakers. In 2021, Italian Fashion Team produced 700,000 pairs of shoes for well-known Italian fashion brands. The acquisition is expected to be finalized in the last quarter of 2022. Golden Goose is owned by the Permira private equity fund.
