The PGA of America and Elysian Park Ventures – private investment arm of the ownership group behind the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team – have founded a new limited liability company operating out of Los Angeles, New York and London.
Called EP Golf Ventures, the company “provides entrepreneurs with strategic, operational, and management resources through the Global Sports Venture Studio, Trailblazer Venture Studio, and Robin, among others.” It will also, of course, be investing in golf: notably in coaching, training, health, performance science, hospitality, facility management, retail and agriculture.
So far it has invested in Sportsbox AI, which produces coaching applications through markerless 3D motion capture, and Dryvebox, which produces a mobile golf simulator for lessons, practice sessions, virtual golf and private events.
