Austrian newspaper Kleine Zeitung reported that well-known sports and fashion retailer Strolz of Lech – founded in 1921 and best known for its handmade, personally customized ski boots – has gained new shareholders: Hugo Boss CEO Daniel Grieder, manager Siegfried Wolf and local real estate project manager Reinhard Wolf are taking over 41 percent of the shares in a first step, the rest will remain with the Strolz family for the time being. Olivia Strolz will remain the sole managing director. The founding family also intends to hold 50 percent of the company if further measures are necessary. The new co-owners are supposed to ensure the sports and fashion house’s sustainable future. A reorganization procedure was already applied for in 2020. Manager Siegfried Wolf said that he did not want to and could not imagine the prominent winter sports resort of Lech without Strolz. He went on to say that he also trusts the current management.
