According to Internet portal munich-startup.de, Potsdam-based startup Khulula has acquired Planetics, a Munich-based marketplace for sustainable sporting goods. Last May, Planetics – founded in 2020 – was still announcing an expansion of its pre-seed round. Then, at the end of March, Planetics made public that it was looking for a strategic partner to take over the platform. Talks with several interested parties were apparently held over the past two months.

The buyer, Khulula, has acquired all key assets to continue planetics.de. The startup, founded in 2021 by sailors Holger Ambroselli and Simon Licht, develops its own products for outdoor sports made of natural fiber composites and advises clubs and companies on the path to greater sustainability. Planetics founders Raphael Breitner, Fabian Hörst and Alexandros Taflanidis are stepping down from the company.
