Andrea Parisotto, the president of Italy’s Sportsystem association and of Fondazione Museo dello Scarpone e della Calzatura Sportiva (Museum of ski boot and sport shoe) in Montebelluna, died of sudden illness on Oct 13. He was only 49 years old. From 1994 to 2018, Parisotto worked at mountain shoe specialist Calzaturificio Scarpa, his family business, where he held various roles, including chief financial officer, founder and president of Scarpa North America, and up to CEO. In 2018, he founded Ap8 Invest, a holding company that helps small and medium enterprises, with a focus on the sport, fashion, food & wine and luxury real estate sectors.
