The Rudholm Group (RH), a Swedish-based supplier of garment accessories, packaging and logistical services for apparel producers, has taken over Euro Brand Management (EBM), a Munich-based company specializing in sustainable packaging and supply chain management solutions in all the segments of the footwear market. Founded in 1951 by the eponymous family, RH has developed into a global company with 21 offices and nine manufacturing hubs operating in 22 countries including the U.S. Founded in 2005 by Luigi Grosso, a former executive of Timberland and Nike who was born 69 years ago in Boston, EBM started as a shoe distributor and agent, but then specialized in sustainable packaging solutions, eliminating plastics and right-sizing the packaging. It was the first Bavarian company to obtain B Corp certification in 2015. It has been working mainly with European companies such as Geox, Lotto, Scarpa and Smellwell. Responding to the need for better and less expensive logistics at a time when freight rates have skyrocketed, EBM is winning over new clients in the apparel sector through its combination with RH. Its sales could nearly double to €1.5 million next year, says Grosso, who has agreed to remain in charge of sales and marketing for two years.
