Eisenstadt, Austria-based plastics composites manufacturer Isosport has acquired Polish plastics specialist Novo Tech’s factory in Oradea, western Romania, for an undisclosed price, deal advisor Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen told Snow Industry News earlier this week. Isosport is the world leader in innovative plastic solutions for the ski, snowboard and water sports industries, with a production site in Austria and a second one in Slovenia. Its winter sports product portfolio includes both sintered and extruded bases. The acquisition strengthens Isosport’s leading role as a market leader and industry specialist through a growth strategy focused on diversifying the business and successfully identifying and expanding niche markets, Nestor said in a press release. Novo Tech’s products range from spray suppression flaps for commercial vehicles, entrance and door mats, and artificial surfaces such as grass and snow for the sports industry to matting for poultry breeding. The Novo Tech factory in Romania employed 91 people in late 2021.
