Following its successful expansion into Poland (acquisition of the Distance fashion chain in June 2021) and the takeover of the American retail chains Jimmy Jazz and Expressions in the same year, Cologne-based sneaker and streetwear retailer Snipes is continuing its expansion course with the acquisition of Croatian retailer Shooster. Alongside the major Croatian cities of Zagreb, Split and Zadar, Shooster is one of the most important points of contact for sneakers and streetwear products in the country, with a total of 18 stores. The deal has already been closed. The parties have agreed not to disclose any details about the terms and conditions. The Shooster stores will operate under the Snipes flag in the future. The company announced that it will also launch a Croatian Snipes online store soon.
“It is great to see that Snipes has grown so much in the last two years in spite of not so easy market conditions and that we can already serve a second market in the CEE region in such a short time after entering the Polish market. We think big and see great growth potential for our brand in the coming years,” commented Sven Voth, the CEO and founder of Snipes.
In just one year, Snipes has thus increased the number of its doors by almost 250 and is now present in eleven European countries and the U.S. with more than 680 stores.
