Altor Fund VI has entered an agreement to acquire a majority stake in CCM Hockey, a renowned global hockey brand. CCM’s management team will reinvest in the company, with Altor’s backing expected to accelerate growth across both existing and new markets, segments and product lines.
Founded in 1899, CCM is known for designing and manufacturing high-performance hockey equipment and apparel used by NHL and PWHL superstars such as Auston Matthews and Sidney Crosby. Headquartered in Montréal, CCM operates globally in over 40 countries.
Altor, known for investing in top consumer brands like Rossignol and Marshall, will collaborate with CCM to unlock untapped potential and further cement the brand’s global standing. “As we celebrate our 125th anniversary, partnering with Altor marks an exciting new chapter for CCM,” said Marrouane Nabih, CEO of CCM Hockey. “Their expertise with renowned sporting brands will help us unlock new growth opportunities and continue our legacy of innovation and performance.”
The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2024, pending regulatory approvals.
