China-based Anta Sports and South Korean fashion platform Musinsa announced the formation of a joint venture to expand Musinsa’s fashion business across Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao. According to a voluntary stock exchange filing, Musinsa will hold a 60 percent stake in the new entity, while Anta will retain the remaining 40 percent. Musinsa will lead business operations, and Anta will maintain strategic and financial oversight through board representation.

The joint venture is intended to deepen Anta’s engagement in the fashion segment and reflects its broader strategy of “Single-focus, Multi-brand, Globalization.” Anta plans to leverage its brand and retail expertise in footwear and apparel to help scale the partnership, targeting younger consumers interested in sport-lifestyle offerings.

Musinsa, one of Korea’s largest online fashion platforms, operates several brands, including Musinsa Standard, which designed the national team uniforms for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The company has recently grown its offline retail presence in Korea alongside its digital operations.

Completion of the joint venture remains subject to final conditions outlined in the agreement. Anta advised shareholders and potential investors to exercise caution.
