Two well-known Scandinavian figures have been welcomed by the Norwegian bag and travel gear company to support its global expansion and brand positioning.

Oslo-based travel gear brand Db have announced that football star Erling Braut Haaland and fashion entrepreneur Gustav Magnar Witzøe have joined the company as minority shareholders and strategic investors. The move follows a November 2024 investment from LVMH Luxury Ventures and reflects Db’s ongoing efforts to scale its international footprint.

Both Haaland and Witzøe are expected to contribute more than capital. “We always look for like-minded people who share our ambitions,” said Db founder Truls Brataas. “Erling and Gustav are two exceptional individuals who dare to dream big and follow up with the work needed to reach excellence.”

Haaland, known for his performance on the global football stage, noted his personal interest in Db’s product design: “This is a product space I personally love, and I see a strong business case for the wider international market, notably around its luggage range.”

Witzøe, an established figure in fashion and owner of one of Norway’s largest companies, highlighted the brand’s dual appeal: “With Db, I get to combine fashion and business and be part of a unique Scandinavian success story.”

Db CEO Richard Collier added that Haaland’s international recognition will elevate brand awareness, while Witzøe’s expertise in fashion aligns with Db’s focus on premium product expansion and selective retail partnerships.

Founded in Norway, Db specializes in functional, design-forward luggage and travel gear. The brand is B Corp certified and aims to bridge outdoor, sport and fashion through clean Scandinavian aesthetics and patented design technologies.
