German manufacturer of ski poles and gloves Leki has announced a strategic partnership with Swedish glove specialist Hestra. This collaboration aims to integrate Leki’s Trigger technology into select Hestra gloves. The joint products will be available to customers starting in the winter season of 2025/26.
This partnership brings together two family-owned companies in the outdoor sports industry. Leki, founded in 1948, is celebrated for its Trigger and Trigger Shark systems, which optimize power transfer, control, and comfort for both alpine and Nordic skiing. “We are excited to work with another market leader to complement LEKI’s extensive range of Trigger gloves,“ commented Leki CEO Matthias Hatt. “Hestra’s unique style and craftsmanship will create a perfect synergy for Leki and Hestra customers worldwide.”
Founded in 1936, Hestra is a well-established international glove brand based in Sweden, operated by the Magnusson family across three generations. Known for high-quality manufacturing and complete control over production in its own factories, Hestra is present in over 40 countries. Hestra CEO Anton Magnusson said, “This collaboration allows us to enhance both our product and customer experience through true innovation.”
In 2025, Hestra will release a limited collection of three gloves featuring Leki’s Trigger technology. These include alpine models with the original Trigger system and Nordic models equipped with Trigger Shark, enhancing the connection between gloves and ski poles for improved performance.
