New Balance inaugurated its new Salt Lake City distribution center on October 10, marking a major expansion of its North American logistics operations. The facility will streamline distribution across wholesale, retail and digital channels, providing faster deliveries and improved service.

The new center is a cornerstone in New Balance’s strategy to optimize its U.S. supply chain and support growth across key sales channels. With the facility in operation, the brand aims to reduce lead times and improve flexibility for wholesale partners and online customers.

Located in Salt Lake City’s Northwest Quadrant, the 75,000-square-meter complex integrates advanced automation technologies, including robots, autonomous vehicles, and six miles of conveyor belts. It manages footwear, apparel, and accessories and can process up to 100,000 units per day across two shifts.

By the numbers: The site employs more than 80 people and joins five New England factories and one UK facility in Flimby within New Balance’s global production and distribution network. Headquartered in Boston, New Balance has a global workforce of 12,000 and reported worldwide sales of $7.8 billion in 2024.

What to watch: The Salt Lake City hub is expected to serve as a model for future logistics facilities in the U.S., enabling faster e-commerce fulfillment and better inventory management as New Balance continues to expand its direct-to-consumer operations.

With its new automated facility, New Balance reinforces its North American footprint and builds capacity for faster, more reliable product delivery across all channels.
