OrthoLite, the insole and footwear solutions brand, has expanded its European hub, OrthoLite Europa (OEU), in Almansa, Spain. The expansion enhances capacity, innovation and local-for-local insole production solutions for OrthoLite’s European brand partners, the company explained. The factory will add more automation, expand lean line production, and modernize the facility and tooling requirements.
The OEU facility primarily serves “Made in the EU” production, targeting athletic footwear, outdoor, trail, hike, fashion, luxury, dress, work and comfort casual brands with insoles as well as leather and other technical insole products.
OrthoLite’s increased commitment in Europe is part of its global vertical integration strategy and investment in its owned and operated facilities. The company claims that since 2021, the production capacity at its European facility in Almansa has quadrupled. From Almansa, OrthoLite can deliver to any point in Europe within two to four days. Almansa, in Spain’s southeast, has a long-standing shoemaking tradition.
