Craig Stevenson, president of the Americas region at Quiksilver, was appointed as the company's global brand president and chief operating officer, from the start of this month. The global brand president is a new position, which is meant to supervise the Quiksilver, Roxy and DC brands' activities. The COO's functions were previously handled by Joe Scirocco, Quiksilver's chief financial officer. Rob Colby, former COO of Quiksilver Americas, succeeds Stevenson as regional chief. The Americas region has been a source of big growth for the company in the last two years, with profits almost tripling, and continued success is expected. Stevenson will focus mainly on product development, sourcing and enterprise resource planning. He has been with Quiksilver in various roles since 1992, when he started out as national sales manager in Australia. Colby first worked at Quiksilver from 2002 to 2007, then took a two-year break to be chief operating officer of an apparel company in Los Angeles. He rejoined Quiksilver as a senior vice president in 2009.
