Crossfit has settled a lawsuit with its primary sponsor, Reebok, over disputed royalty payments. The terms have been kept confidential, but they did include a unspecified payment for back royalties. The two parties entered a licensing and sponsorship agreement in 2010 that made Crossfit the title sponsor of the Crossfit Games, while giving the brand a license to sell Crossift branded fitness apparel and footwear. In its lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, Crossfit reportedly claimed that Reebok owed it at least $4.8 billion, noting among other things that it played a key role in the brand's recovery and that Reebok didn't play its part on the marketing side.
